You could be one of two Fan Club members selected to participate in the team’s opening ceremonies during games at home. Picture yourself carrying the flag around the Habs’ zone and welcoming the players onto the ice to kick off the game!

Contest rules
1 - ELIGIBILITY
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Contest is open to all Canadiens Fan Club members. Employees of le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc., its parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, its representatives, agents, advertising agencies, promotional partners, any Sponsor, and the members of the immediate families or those persons living in the same household of such individuals of the above mentioned are ineligible to enter or win. All winning members must know how to ice skate.
Kids aged 5-17 who are not members of the Canadiens Fan Club and who wish to enter the Contest may do so by writing an essay composed of no less than 250 words explaining why they are Canadiens fans. The essay must be sent to the following address:

If the winner is a minor, the Prize will automatically be attributed to his or her parent or legal guardian, who will have to sign all required documents prior to participation.
2 - CONTEST PERIOD
The contest begins at Midnight (ET) on September 21st, 2016 and all entries must be received by Midnight (ET) on April 5th, 2017.
3 - HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Contest, log on to fanclub.canadiens.com and complete the required entry form. Members will receive an on-screen confirmation that their entry has been accepted. Entries must be completed by the Canadiens Fan Club member who is logged on or by said member’s parent or legal guardian.
As a member, you will provide us with your name, your address (number, street, city, and postal code), your phone number, your birth date and your email address. You will not be required to enter this information again to enter the Contest; you must answer a few qualifying questions, such as “What is your skating level?” In order to win the Prize, members must complete all entry form fields. Le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc. and the Contest Sponsor(s) are not responsible for late, lost or incomplete entries. All entries for the Contest will be attributed to the Contest and will not be saved for any future contest.
Only ONE (1) entry form is permitted per member. A member’s entry form will be valid for each contest drawing, except when said member is selected for the Prize; it will then be removed from the other drawing.
By registering to the Contest, participants agree to have their name, residence and picture made known without any compensation or warning, for publicity, advertising or marketing purposes or informational in any media, format (including Internet) in relation with the Contest or similar contests occurring in the future and accept and sign any relevant document with regards to this commitment or considered necessary by le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc. or the Sponsor(s). The participants agree to respect all the contest rules. Moreover, the winners must conform to all instructions given by the event managers; refusal to do so will result in the cancellation of the member’s participation. The parent or legal guardian accompanying the winning member must sign any required documentation that le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc. demands, otherwise said member’s participation will be refused.
4 - PRIZE
There is a total of 48 prizes to be won (24 games, 2 winners per game.)
The description of the Prize is as follows: Before said Montreal Canadiens home games, winners will take part in the official pre-game team presentation by skating on the Bell Centre ice with a Canadiens flag. Each winner will be given two tickets for the Family Zone to watch the Montreal Canadiens for the selected game (one for the winning member and one for the accompanying parent or legal guardian). The approximate value of the Prize is $81 .00.
A helmet and hockey gloves will be given to the participants, but must be given back to the organizers after the event. The participant is responsible for all other fees and expenses not mentioned in the above description, including but not limited to, his/her own skates and any other necessary protection.
The winners are responsible for all taxes and fees that are not included in the Prize.
The Prizes must be accepted as they are, without any warranty. NO SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZE OR DATE WILL BE PERMITTED, EXCEPT AT THE DISCRETION OF LE CLUB DE HOCKEY CANADIEN, INC. LE CLUB DE HOCKEY CANADIEN, INC. HAS THE RIGHT TO REPLACE ANY PRIZE BY ANY OTHER PRIZE OF AN EQUIVALENT OR SUPERIOR VALUE, SUBJECT TO THE APPROBATION OF LA RÉGIE DES ALCOOLS, DES COURSES ET DES JEUX. THE PRIZES ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE AND CANNOT BE EXCHANGED FOR MONEY IN PART OR IN FULL.
5 - WINNERS
Potential Contest Prize winners will be selected in a random draw conducted at the offices of le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc. a week prior to the selected home game at approximately 10:00 AM (ET) from among all eligible entries received.
The probabilities to win the Prize depend on the number of eligible entry forms received at or before the closing date of the Contest. The Contest Sponsor(s) will contact the selected winners by phone in the fifteen (15) hour business day following the drawing date.
If the participant cannot be reached in the following forty-height (48) hours, le Club de hockey le Canadien, Inc. will be authorized to select another winner among the eligible participants.
The winning members list will be available on the contest Web site when the identity of the winners will be confirmed. The winners will consent to have their names and their city published. Le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc. cannot be held responsible for being unable to reach the winners.
6 - CONTEST CONDITIONS
The participants agree to conform to the official Rules of the Contest and to the decision of the judges, which are final on all matters regarding the Contest.
7 - LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Before being declared a winner, selected entrant(s) may be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a Release of Liability, releasing le Club de hockey Canadien, Inc., its Sponsor(s), respective advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates and associated companies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with this Contest or the Prize.
The Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, tampering, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems, viruses or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest.
8 - FOR RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
